Based on historical examples of modified 1911's Delta and other Special Forces units carried during operations like Operation Just Cause, Gothic Serpent, Urgent Fury, and countless other thankless insertions into the dark and dangerous places of Central and South America, North Africa, and the Middle East. The original guns were initially pulled from government armories, leftovers from World War II and pieced together with commercially available parts by unit armorers and custom gunsmiths featuring some of the better modifications adopted from the competition circuits of the day, breathing new life into the 1911 platform for the evolving warfighter of the times.
